Boxed up and Ready to Gift

Hey everyone.  Today I have something just simple
as I wanted to try out my new stamp and matching embossing
folder by sizzix.

Sherri Baldy My Besties

I started with just a simple box  shape and stamped my design on
and embossed with the matching folder that makes the butterfly and
word FRIEND pop up and give it some dimension.

I used Tim Holtz distress ink pad in festive berries on
pink textured cardstock.

I added some lace trim around the lid edge and then made a ribbon flower with
gem center to dress it up a little.

I kept to a simple color palette with coloring my image.
I have used copics
Skin: E50, 51, 53, 33
Clothes W0, 1, 3, 5, 7
Pink: RV04, RV00
and that is it.

We would love if you would come and join us at

It is a ANYTHING GOES challenge.

And until APRIL 4th take advantage of a BIG SALE

ATC Size Mini Album

Hey everyone!  Today I have for you another way to
use pocket letters.  I have made a ATC sized mini album
and used Sherri Baldy My Besties pocket letter
I Love Coffee Friendship Pocket Art
for My Besties 3D & More Challenge Blog

This little album measures 3 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" tall
with a spine of  1 3/4" with 6 pocket pages inside.

Here I fussy cut the spoon from one of the pocket pages
and used it on the spine.  Here I will add an eyelet to hold
my spoon and coffee cup charms.

Here I used a Martha Stewart punch to make my closure and
used a small magnet to hold it closed.
I didn't decorate or embellish this just yet, as I have been waiting
for some charms to arrive to match the theme.

I have made some of the inside elements 3D by just using foam to
pop up the image by printing twice and fussy cutting.

This would make a nice purse size album or even as a small gift to
remember a small event or as a school year mini reminder with
friends school pictures.

Goodies could also be added in the fold out pocket and sent
to a friend or for a swap.

I added a small piece of ribbon to pull out the tags in the pocket.
Here you see all pockets folded out.

The possibilities are endless with this one.

You can find the video with a tutorial on how
to make this album with all the measurements HERE, and
remember these sizes can be adjusted to make it larger if you
would like to make a larger version.

All Ready for Easter

Hello everyone!  Today I have a very special project
that I have created for my granddaughter.

This is my suitcase Easter basket.

I started with a small premade suitcase that was found at a discount department store,
Marshalls, by a friend of mine.  Her and another friend are the ones who
helped me brainstorm and come up with this concept.
There are tons of templates and cutting files to make your own suitcase.

My Easter banner is just banner flags cut with small slit to
run twine through and hung to each side of the lid.  I used
some metallic stickers from my stash to spell out Easter.

I found some raffia ribbon in these pastel colors
and just had to make a bow for the top.

The adorable digi stamp girl and the basket in the paper sugar egg
are Sherri Baldy My Besties img098.  You can find her HERE

We couldn't forget the carrot for the bunnies.
This box is a cutting file from My Scrap Chick
You can find it HERE

This sugar egg is just so sweet and I just had to add the basket inside
to be peeking out.

This is from My Scrap Chick also and you can find it HERE

Each file comes with a picture tutorial for you to piece it all together.

Add some grass and put in your goodies and you have
a suitcase basket.

Thank you for
having a look!

See you next time.

Hope today you have been inspired to be creative and think outside the box
and have some fun.  We always love to see what you create.

IF I COULD GIVE YOU A GIFT......

Hey everyone!!!!!   I have a very sweet little image to share
with you today for Scrappers Delights Challenge Blog

I just fell in love with this bear with her patches and bows.

I kept this one simple to let the image and sentiment be center stage.
The base card is 6x6 and matted on two shades of pink.

I added these dainty little bows from my stash to match her bows.
And we can't forget the lace with pearls.

Find this sweet image HERE
This one comes with both bears and are separate for you
to use alone or together.

I Love U Bear's

I have colored this sweetie with copics
I have used E50, 51, 53 and a just a small amount of E33 in the shadow areas.
I used a dotting method to build color and texture, which I absolutely love
how the effect with this came out.
I gave her a soft pink glow with pebbles chalk

There is still plenty of time to come join us in the challenge

Shamrocks!!! Seeing Green!

Are we ready to wear green!  It is almost St. Patrick's Day and today I would like to share
with you some adorable images to get you crafting for St. Patty's Day.

First, let's start with img675.  You can find her HERE

I have created a Pot of Chocolate for this little sweetie to guard over.

Dig out a small pot, vase, or even use a coffee cup and put some floral
foam in the bottom to stick your decoration in.
Pixie sticks would be a fun addition with some cut outs
of shamrocks to add to the ends instead of pinwheels.
Then just add your chocolate coins or any other small treat.
But wait, here are a few more digis to create with.

We have Susie in Overalls                                                 This is img673
Get her HERE                                                             Get her HERE

What shades of green did I use.  I use copics to color so here are the shades

G99, YG17, YG13, and YG11

We can't forget the shades of yellow.

I use E15 as shading in the darkest places to hold shadows and
then layer with these

Y18, Y13, Y02 and Y000

Hope today you have been inspired to grab one or all three and
have some fun.  We always love to see what you create.

Butterflies and Flowers Fauxbook Card

Spring is in the air here today in my little corner.

I was inspired by this new digi from Sherri Baldy My Besties
to create a fun spring themed card.
This is Ella Bella Buttons and Bows Garden Treasure Hunter.
You can find her HERE

I wanted to be able to tuck some pretty flowers and butterflies into this
and decided to make a faux book to hold the goodies.
I trimmed the book part with a Martha Stewart border punch
to cover the frame.

I also wanted to be able to tuck in a few little trinkets, like a book mark
and a gift card, so I made a pocket to add these.
I trimmed the top of the pocket with a Martha Stewart border punch.

The flowers are from Heartfelt Creations Stamp and Die set, Botanical Rose.
You can find it HERE

I started with a 7" x 11" base cardstock and scored at 5" and 6"
giving me a front and back panel of 5" x 7" with a 1" spine.

For my frame I cut 2- 6 1/2" long by 3" wide strips and scored at every 1/2", then
2- 4 1/2" by 3" and scored also at every 1/2".
This is the base for the frame. Trim out the top with lace or whatever
to give it a more finished look.

Finish off with all your embelishments and enjoy.

For the color combos for Ella Bella.
Skin is E000, 00, 53 Cheeks RV10, 00
The rest is carried throughout below.
